Yo’s FroYo Bites are crafted in Los Angeles with real frozen yogurt + real fruit, then freeze-dried into a crunchy, melt-in-your-mouth snack. It’s a totally new kind of treat — made with years of R&D, and made with intention by our family. Read on for exactly how it’s done.

How Yo’s FroYo Bites Are Made

The Production Process

Yo’s FroYo Bites aren’t made on an anonymous production line.

They’re lovingly crafted in Los Angeles, California, through a careful, family-developed process refined over more than a decade of research and testing.


Below is a clear look at how your snack is made, from start to finish, so you know exactly what you’re eating and how it comes to life.

Frozen
FroYo Delivered

We start with our custom-formulated frozen yogurt, kept in cold storage and delivered to our facility by freezer truck — typically about a month’s supply at a time.

Tempered to the
Perfect Temperature

When it’s time to make a batch, we move the FroYo into our production room and place it in a dedicated defrosting fridge so it naturally reaches the ideal working temperature for processing.

Molded & Filled

While the FroYo is defrosting, our Yo's branded molds are prepped and placed onto trays. Once the FroYo reaches the perfect temperature, it’s poured into a mixer hopper. The formula is gently mixed, then pumped into our filling machine.

Up to four molds are placed onto the conveyor at a time. The machine moves them under the filling heads, evenly filling every cavity before the molds exit the line. Each mold takes about 20–30 seconds to fill, and the process runs continuously until all molds are complete.

Freeze to Lock
In Structure

Filled molds are placed into ultra-cold freezers for many hours and brought down to –35°C to –80°C, freezing them solid and locking the FroYo’s structure firmly in place.

Freeze-Dried for the
Signature Crunch

Once fully frozen, the bites are carefully removed from the molds, arranged on trays, and loaded into freeze dryers, where moisture is removed using vacuum and gentle heat at ultra-cold temperatures. The bites aren’t melted or compromised. Instead, they’re shelf-stable, full of flavor, and designed to deliver Yo’s FroYo Bites’ signature melt-in-your-mouth experience.

This transformation creates Yo’s® signature dry crunch + melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Pouched, Packed
& Shipped

Finished bites move into a vacuum hopper and are gently elevated to the pouching machine, where they’re weighed, filled, batch-coded, and sealed. Then pouches are packed into DTC and retail-ready shipper boxes and fulfilled in-house during our launch phase.

Today, Yo’s FroYo Bites are made with hands-on involvement from our family. Haskell (me) and Yosef (my son) oversee manufacturing and process development. Shoshana (my wife) leads fulfillment and backend operations, the systems that quietly keep everything running. Mia (my daughter) brings perspective, creativity, and honesty that help keep the brand human and grounded.
